On Wednesday I lamented the conservative addiction to misinformation, citing the example of the false attacks on Sen. Barack Obama's tax plan, and specifically criticizing my regular bloggingheads.tv sparring partner Conn Carroll of the Heritage Foundation.

The following day, Conn and I returned to bloggingheads.tv and had a more fact-based discussion. He acknowledged "sloppiness" on his part when referring to people "who never paid taxes" when such people do not exist, even though he didn't concede his underlying points.

Conn also did not accept my view that conservatives have an addiction to misinformation (my plea for honest facts at the end of the below clip prompted a interesting response).

But did seem to think conservatives are due for some serious intellectual soul-searching, particularly on the question of tax policy.

All in all, a worthwhile clip to check out below.
