The Huffington Post front page headline now is "Pentagon Shelves 'Propaganda' Program, but reading the full story, it doesn't seem like it's going to be too hard for the Pentagon to pick it back up off the shelf.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said the program was undergoing an internal review following criticism that the retired officers offered Pentagon talking points as their own during the run-up to the Iraq invasion and thereafter.

"It's temporarily suspended so we can take at look at some of the concerns," said Whitman.

That is no acknowledgment that anything was wrong, and no commitment to actually change anything.

And of course, it says nothing about the media's role, as no media outlet has taken any responsibility for failing to vet their own military analysts, and none have announced any changes in policy.

So, remain wary of so-called "military analysts," who are still on your TV, and join the Free Press call for a real investigation.
