About Paul Engler, Sophie Lasoff
Paul Engler is founding director of the Center for the Working Poor, based in Los Angeles. He has worked as an organizer in the immigrant rights, global justice, and labor movements. Paul is one of the founders of the Momentum Training, which educates activists in the principles of momentum-driven mobilization. Sophie Lasoff leads research on the impact of popular movements at the Ayni Institute. She recently helped develop Ayni’s newest training on social movement ecology, a framework to help organizations work together to deepen their collective impact. She is also a trainer with Momentum and organizes with IfNotNow, a movement of young Jews to end the American Jewish community’s support of the occupation.
