Jeremy's Bio
Martin Blank, Grosse Point Blank, 1997
Jeremy Baker was born and raised in Silverdale, Washington (the other Washington). Active in student government and athletics, he graduated from Central Kitsap High School (Go Cougs!) and then received a BS in Political Science from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!). His career started as a fundraiser on then Councilman Greg Nickels’ successful campaign to become the Mayor of Seattle. That was quickly followed by a position as the Finance Manager for Senate Democratic Campaign Committee in Olympia, Washington. Then he moved East in a Ford Contour, with an inflatable mattress, two suits, 4 books and a case of DoubleShot Espresso drinks, becoming a Regional Finance Director for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee in Washington DC. In 2004, Jeremy left the DLCC to go to work for Senator Creigh Deeds as his Finance Director on his unsuccessful bid to be the Attorney General of Virginia (a 323 vote loss, a heartbreaking experience). He then spent 2006 in Columbus, Ohio as the Finance Director for the Ohio Democratic Party and coordinated campaign, helping to elect Governor Ted Strickland and Senator Sherrod Brown. Jeremy then moved back to Richmond and subsequently Edgewater, Maryland. He is recently married to Lindsey Reynolds. They have two dogs, Ruby and Crash (One guess on whose dog is who’s…). He enjoys riding his motorcycle and hopes to buy a boat soon and spend his free time on the Chesapeake Bay.
