For Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Penn. (CBS' Face The Nation): This week, you suggested that a special prosecutor is needed to fully investigate the Prosecutor Purge because of conflicts of interest with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and the White House.

However, when Judiciary Committee Democrats later called for a special prosecutor to investigate Gonzales' apparent perjury, you criticized them as being "precipitous."
