Campaign for America's Future supporters made over a thousand phone calls to their Representatives asking them a straightforward question to get their position on DeLay on record: "Do you believe that Tom DeLay is ethically fit to serve as House Majority Leader?" The responses were sobering news for Tom DeLay.
WASHINGTON – The Campaign for America’s Future unveiled a new television ad today that urges Congress to “wash its hands” of Rep. Tom DeLay, highlighting the controversy surrounding the House majority leader, who is increasingly seen as a liability to his party.
The Campaign for America’s Future spot begins airing Thursday throughout Rep. Delay’s Texas district and on major news stations in Washington. The initial $75,000 buy runs for a full week.

Jim McCrery. The following week we unveiled a research analysis exposing that Rep. Jim McCrery, the newly appointed head of the Social Security Subcommittee in the House, had taken over $200,000 from the securities and commercial banking interests that stand to benefit from privatization of Social Security.

WASHINGTON – Campaign for America’s Future Co-director Robert Borosage today condemned House Republicans for changing a decade-old party rule to allow Majority leader Tom DeLay to keep his leadership post if he is indicted by a Texas grand jury on political corruption charges.
