Inequality and Budget Deficits: Why is Only the Latter an Emergency?

After that, it’s all a question of slowing health care spending, and that’s an existential question not just for the budget but for the whole economy, meaning we have to crack that nut no matter what. Inequality, on the other hand, can and likely will keep growing unless policy measures intervene.
