Every Friday in our Weekend Watchdog feature, we post suggested questions for scheduled Sunday guests. You can add your own questions in the comment thread. We'll also include contact information for the shows, so we can let them know what their viewers want asked.
And on Sunday at 4 PM ET, tune in to Air America [1] Radio's "Seder on Sundays" [2] program, where I'll offer the Weekend Watchdog Wrap-Up.
For Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell (Fox News Sunday [3]): The White House is accusing the House of putting "The lives of countless Americans" at risk [4] for not approving the president's preferred wiretap bill.
But the White House was willing to veto such legislation if it did not grant immunity for telecom companies [5] that complied with an illegal government request to hand over private consumer information.
Since the White House was happy to hold up legislation for a matter not relevant to national security, how can you credibly claim that the House's actions jeopardize national security?
For Sen. John McCain (ABC's This Week [6]): You said this past week [7] that, "To encourage a country with only rhetoric -- rather than sound and proven ideas that trust in the strength and courage of free people -- is not a promise of hope. It is a platitude."
Both your potential Democratic opponents offer policy ideas to fight [8] poverty [9], which has risen during the course of the Bush presidency. On your website, you offer no ideas [10] to address poverty. Do you "hope" to offer ideas on poverty at some point in the campaign?

Does McCain have an idea about poverty? Does the White House put telecoms ahead of national security?
