Michael Reagan Just Libeled You

I'm researching a magazine article on the history and meaning of the conservative movement's feelings about John McCain and came across an article by Michael Reagan that reveals better than anything I've recently seen the casualness with which conservatives impugn the patriotism of anyone they disagree with. It's the last sentence of the article: "If John McCain is the nominee of the party, this Reagan will happily campaign with him. The alternative is unthinkable to anyone who loves this nation."

If a non-Republican wins the election, it is "unthinkable." Unless, of course, you're one of those people who do not "love this nation."
