Target Bob Ney: The Washington Lobbyists' Best Friend

June 2005 - Present

cafabramoff_113005_085212.jpgIn June, we launched our first print ads against Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, by placing two full-page ads in papers in his district that linked Ney to notorious lobbyist Jack Abramoff and Indian gambling issues. In early July, we followed up by airing a radio ad that urged Ney to address the needs of everyday Ohioans instead of spending his time on gambling deals for Washington lobbyists. Without the donations of our online supporters, we could not have exposed Ney's corruption.

People are known by the company they keep and Bob Ney keeps very bad company in Washington. On December 1, 2005, we ran four ads (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) exposing Rep. Bob Ney’s startlingly close connections to the most corrupt politicians and lobbyists in Washington ran in the Columbus Dispatch.

In January 2006, we unveiled a new billboard (Download the PDFDownload the billboard) and a radio ad in his district highlighting his connections to super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff and others of his ilk.
